Nurturing Self-Hate

Noticing and then lingering on thoughts of self hate rarely help us move forward. In fact, they keep us stuck in the past; past memories, past hurts, past choices. It is one thing to have them but it is another thing to linger and rehearse them. Doing so distracts us from searching out options for the future or finding people who can help us through to the new behaviors. Freedom is out there. However, there is work involved to getting there. Staying stuck is taking the easy way out.
