Feeling Off? 7/29/21

It's not uncommon when we're feeling this way that we're not taking the best care of ourselves in some basic life areas. Think of a sunflower. Sunflowers can only do well if they have air, water, food, and sunlight. We're really not much different. When you're feeling off, ask yourself these four questions:

1. Am I breathing? Oftentimes we're mindlessly taking short breaths and not getting lungs-full of air like we should. 2. Am I drinking enough water? Dehydration can mess with us! It will affect our moods and energy levels, among other things. 3. How much and what kind of food am I eating? If we're eating too much, not enough, or poor quality food, of course we're going to be feeling badly! Food is fuel. If you put bad fuel in your car it'll run poorly. It's the same with us. 4. Am I getting outside and moving my body? We need vitamin D and our bodies need to move to burn off stress hormones. If we're not getting out and moving we're definitely going to feel pent up or off or down or any number of unbalanced things. Remember to treat yourself like a sunflower and soon you'll be right as rain!
